Passed away, suddenly and peacefully, with his loving wife Alison and children by his side, after a courageous struggle with illness, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on Friday, February 15th, 2019, Gordon Wilson Cross, of Lisgar Ave., Tillsonburg, in his 67th year. Dedicated employee of Fleetwood Metals, Tillsonburg, for over 15 years. A dedicated family man, and much loved husband of 29 years of Alison (Harbottle) Cross. Wonderful and loving father of his four children: Alex, Thomas, Andrew, and Laura. Dear son of Robert Cross and the late Barbara Cross (2010). Survived by a loving sister Mary MacLeod of Aylmer, Ontario, and the late Rod. Predeceased by a brother David Cross (2005).
Friends, neighbours and relatives will be welcomed and received on Wednesday, February 20th, 2019 for visitation from 12 to 2 pm at the MAURICE J. VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOMES-BURIAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 262 Broadway St., Tillsonburg (519)842-4238. Celebration of Life Complete Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Pat Cook of Tillsonburg officiating. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations in Gord’s memory are payable by cheque/credit card to the “Canadian Cancer Society – Research” through the funeral home.
