In Loving Memory
MATTEI, Enzo – It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Enzo at home on Monday February 18, 2019. Loving husband and soul mate for 37 years to Jeanette (nee Brousseau). Best friend to his children, Chad Mattei and Telina (Randy) Campeau. Cherished Papa to Mathew, Nathan, Lexie, and Logon. Survived by his siblings Anthony (April) Mattei and Mary (Barry) Henning, mother-in-law Jeanette Brousseau and brother-in-laws, Eddy (Rose), Paul (Marni), James (Sharla) and Danny (Melissa) Brousseau. Pre-deceased by his parents Peter and Elena Mattei, father-in-law Edward Brousseau, grandparents Francesco and Mary Bambina Mattei and Carlo and Virginia Garofalo. Enzo will be lovingly missed and remembered by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Enzo was born in Pacentro, Italy and immigrated to Canada when he was 18 months of age. Enzo had a lifelong passion for kick boxing and combat sports, competing in professional kick boxing for the Canadian Title. He loved to watch MMA and UFC, and had quite the collection of memorabilia. He worked at Welland Tubes for 33 years, and upon retiring in 2000, he enjoyed spending time up north camping. Enzo’s sense of humour, tell it like it is personality and never ending stories will be greatly missed, and he will always hold a special place in our hearts. The Mattei and Brousseau families invite relatives and friends to PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2000 Merrittville Hwy, Thorold) on Friday February 22 from 3:00-8:00p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Parish Community of St. Kevin (303 Niagara St., Welland) on Saturday February 23 at 10:00a.m. Cremation is to follow. Memorial donations in Enzo’s honour may be made to SickKids or Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Enzo Mattei 2019..
