Doris’ Obituary
LINACY – Doris Catherine Lewis, Linacy, passed away peacefully in her 100th year, Thursday, February 7, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Linacy on August 19, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Duncan Alfred and Ella (Dort) Fraser. Until a brief illness, she enjoyed going to Tim’s for her tea everyday. Doris enjoyed knitting, crocheting, attending her grandson’s hockey games and was a skilled card player. She loved everything pink and in her earlier years, enjoyed traveling with her son in his 18-wheeler. Doris was the foundation of her family and “Nanny Lew” and “Mom” to many. She leaves a rich legacy of love, kindness and family. Doris’ greatest wish was “be kind to one another”.
