Arthur worked as a miner for close to 42 years, and even though he retired 19 years ago from Brunswick Mines in Bathurst, he still enjoyed telling stories about mining as that was his passion. He also loved the outdoors: his favourite pastimes were being outdoors working around his yard, he always had a little job on the go, and he always looked forward to summer, as he enjoyed taking drives to Roherty’s Point to go fishing.
For those wishing to make a donation in his memory, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or SPCA in Dalhousie.
Funeral to be held on Friday, March 1st, 11 am at St. Gabriel’s Church in Jacquet River (4114 Main Street), followed by a reception at the Jacquet River Legion. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
