She was born in Assiniboia, SK, to parents of Irish and German heritage. Most of her formative years were spent on or nearby the family farm near Maxstone, where the rigours of Canadian prairie life developed a strong work ethic and an enduring spirit. It was also in this rural setting that Patricia developed a lifelong abiding love for animals. High points of these years included Christmas school concerts and festive gath-erings at her grandmother Moser’s farm.

There she met her future husband Frank; the two were married in St. Andrews’s United Church on Oc-tober 29, 1955.

Her beloved dogs were always an integral part of the family, and no fewer than 8 canine companions accompanied her on her journey through life.
In 1975, Patricia and Frank moved to an acreage north of Prince Albert. In subsequent years many gatherings of family and friends were hosted in this rural setting. There was also time for traveling: to the west and east coasts of Canada, the southern US, Hawaii, England, Ireland, and Holland. In 1992, the first of two grandchildren arrived, and the role of grandmother immediate-ly became the main focus of Patricia’s life. Also in 1992, Frank retired there were many addition-al opportunities for trips with the Good Sam RV Club and with the expanded family. In 2009, advancing age required relocation back to the city, where Patricia spent her remaining years.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Frank; her sons, Doug and Bart (Tammy); her grandchildren, Jenna (Bo) and Dustin; her brother, Bob (Pauline); and several nieces and nephews.
