June 09, 1944 – January 28, 2019
On Monday, January 28, 2019, Marjorie Dodge (nee: Howlett) slipped peacefully into eternal rest at the age of 74 surrounded by her family at the L. A. Miller Centre. She leaves to mourn, her husband of 52 years and best friend, Jim Dodge, her two sons, Tony (Virginia) and Jody (Chantal), her cherished grandchildren Faith and Damian, and her fur-grandbabies Molly and Micky. Also missing her are her loving and supportive siblings and their spouses, Kevin (late Linda), Mary (late Henny), Eugene (Gail), William (Jr) (Donna), Florence (late Chris), Gerald (Joan), Anna (Tony), Walter (Gloria), Vince (Cindy), Frances (Noel), David (Rose), Tony, Danny (Heather), Leonard (Tina), as well as her loving and supportive in-laws, Cecilia (Wayne), Mary (Rick), Randell, her dear best friend, Lil Langer, and her amazing care taker and friend, Jean Grant, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marjorie now joins those who departed before her: parents William and Florence Howlett, brother Gordon, parents-in-law, Annie and Roland Dodge, and other members of the Howlett and Dodge families.
Marjorie left this earth reluctantly but with a full and grateful heart for those who gave her so much care and support during her time of illness. While we cannot name everyone individually, please know that she and her family are eternally grateful for each and every visit, prayer, meal, treat, phone call and positive thought. In addition to her family and friends, special thanks are extended to Father Jeff Kolonel, Dr. Louise Rogers, Sheena Williams, R.N., Homecare Workers Cindy, Willis and Madeline, Pharmacist Pat Williams, as well as the Doctors and Nurses at the Palliative Care Unit, all of whom went above and beyond our expectations.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 30th, 2019 from 7 – 9 p.m, and Thursday, January 31st, 2019 from 2 – 4 p.m & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Kevin’s Parish, Gould’s on Friday, February 1st, 2019 at 10 a.m, with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
Marjorie had a generous spirit and asked that all her earthly possessions be given to those in need. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to a charity of your choice in her memory (for humans or animals) or that you complete a random act of kindness for someone in need.
“I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.” – Leo Buscaglia
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Marjorie Dodge June 09 1944 January 28 2019..
