MARJORIE ANN FROWLEY-Dartmouth
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a precious wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great-great grandmother on January 24, 2019 at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born May 22, 1931 in Windsor Ontario to Wallace and Myrtle Dupuis. Marjorie attended Paterson Collegiate and worked at Motor Products where she met and fell in love with Robert Frowley, loving husband for 67 years. In 1951 Robert joined the R.C.N. and while home on Christmas leave they married on December 24, 1951. They then moved to Nova Scotia. She lived the life of a typical « Navy » wife staying at home, taking care of the kids and everything else.
She spread love with a smile and her family meant everything to her. She had a passion for writing letters and wrote long letters to her husband while he was at sea most of his career. She kept in contact with some school friends from Windsor and the many friends she made over the past 50 years. Her friends always remarked about the fact the first Christmas card they would receive each year were her hand written cards.
She leaves behind to mourn her husband Robert, brother, Stanley (Sharon),
Grandson Jody (Kim),Great grandson Marcus (Megan)
Granddaughter, Stacie (Craig), great granddaughters Isabella, Gillian, Carli and her daughter Amillia and Olivia and her daughter Lilly.
Marjorie was predeceased by her son Alan, 27, the father of her grandchildren, who was killed in a shipboard accident while employed by the Coast Guard, and her son Brian, 33, a Dalhousie University commerce graduate who passed away suddenly with pneumonia, brothers Donald and Merle and sister, Dorothy.
Honoring Marjorie’s wishes there will be no visitation. A private grave side service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville where she will laid to rest beside her sons.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Dartmouth General Hospital.
