Obituary for Gyula Badovsky
GYULA BADOVSKY (1941 – 2019)
It is with deep sadness the family of Gyula Badovsky announces his passing on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the age of 77. Leaving behind his beloved wife and best friend, Rose Badovsky and loving children, Laszlo (Aniko) Badovszky, Gyula Badovszky, Peter (Kathy) Badovsky, Cindy (Tony) Vandevyvere, Rosmarie (Erno) Bauer and Bill (Christie) Szucsko. His 10 beautiful grandchildren will miss their nagypapa and grampy; Daniel and Anita Badovszky, Christina and Sabrina Badovsky, Mackenzie and Mitchell Vandevyvere, Brandon and Savanah Bauer, Alex and Zach Szucsko. Gyula will be missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Juliana Kenesi, George and Clara Ambrus and niece and nephews, Steven, Lindsey (Jesse) and Nolan (Sarah) Ambrus. Gyula’s many close friends and family in Ontario and Europe will miss his laughter and endless stories. Long time best friend of Csaba Scholcz, Gabi Petriko and Gyuri Flotman of Hungary. Born December 17, 1941 in Budapest, Hungary, to Gyula Badovszky and Erzsebet Iszajev. He is survived by his loving aunt Erzsi (Dudo) Zsegraics and half siblings in Hungary. Gyula’s passions were spending time with his family, camping, cooking and travelling to warm destinations and Europe. Family and friends are invited to a celebratory service officiated by Rev. Ferenc Szatmari that will take place Saturday, January 26th 2:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, 16 Durham St, Tillsonburg, Ontario, followed by a celebration of life from 2:30pm – 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated and may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
