1959-2019
Douglas Allen «Dougie» MacPherson – age 60, of
Kentville, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 in the
Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Dougie was very polite and always
concerned about others. He enjoyed many things: camping, the
Sunday morning flea market, road trips and going for coffee at the
Country Style Ultramar. He loved to collect golf balls, radios and
calendars. He also loved old time country music and if you
were lucky, you could hear him sing and yodel along to his favorites.
He will be missed by his family, Kenny (Emma) MacPherson; Cathy
(Chris) Page; Gerald (Kerry) MacPherson; Dorothy (Tom) Spencer and by
his little brother and best buddy, Billy MacPherson. Cremation has
taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service,
by request. A celebration of Dougie’s life will take place
at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dougie’s
caregivers for their kindness and care. He was close to them and loved
having them in his life. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
Dougie is now in Heaven
with mom enjoying her apple sauce cookies.
