Nécrologie
After a long, and courageous battle with cancer, Claudette passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2019 with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Donald Gardner. Loving mother of Chris (Kelly) and Graydon (Cindy). She was the extremely proud and devoted granny of Nolan, Reid, Taleah and Liam. Sleepovers were her specialty! She was the dear sister of Rene, Janet, Bob, Gloria and Debbie. She will be missed by many family and friends.
Claudette was a remarkable woman who enjoyed cooking, sewing, and watching her shows. Her true love was her grandchildren and she made a significant impact on all their lives. She was very kind to all, and will be remembered by her incomparable strength, her outgoing spirit and wonderful sense of humour.
Family wish to thank the staff of the Irving Greenberg Centre, the Queensway Carleton Hospital and Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital. The care and compassion of the doctors and nurses in all facilities will not be forgotten.
Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 9, 2018 at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A private family service will be held at a later date with interment at Pinecrest Cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to the Ottawa Humane Society
