Caroline was a woman of deep faith who was devoted to saying our Lady’s Rosary and was a CWL member for over 60 years. Together with her husband Leo, Caroline was a founding member of St. Teresa of Avila RC Church in Kitchener. Of singular note in the mid 70s’ was Caroline’s work, along with several other ladies, to establish and host for many years in the Hicknell rec room the St. Teresa’s Church Ladies’ Quilting Group which is still in existence today. Over the years hundreds of quilts have been crafted by the quilting league and donated to many groups and charities in the Waterloo Region including Anselma House, Birthright, and John Bosco Homes. Mom was an avid gardener, canner and lifelong learner. Caroline’s family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. (prayers at 7 p.m.) on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 followed by a procession to St. Aloysius RC Church, 11 Traynor Ave for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Venil D’Souza at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Our deepest gratitude and appreciation is extended to all the staff at Trinity Village Pinewoods and Grand River Hospital who provided Caroline with such excellent care.
