At her home in Orillia surrounded by her family on Sunday December 30th 2018 in her 75th year. Yvonne Stone, beloved daughter of the late Mark and Margaret Stone. Much loved sister of Evans Stone (Deb), Miriam Edmundson (Bob), Irene Cadieux (John), Mervyn Stone (Deb), Marcus Stone (Joy) and Calvin Stone (Cheryl). Cherished Aunt Bon of Michelle (Ryan), Matt (Sheri), Olivia (Chris), Josh, Mark, Sarah (Jeremy), Lindsay (Phil), Adam (Andrea), Scott, Erin (Tom), Mark, Jen, Ryan (Ashley), Sarah (Jason), Travis (Jill), Tyler, Crystal (Greg), Candice (Sudip), Camille and Chantelle. Also remembered by her many great nieces and nephews Josh, Isabelle, Maddy, Harry, Cole, Brody, Saleena, Sadie, Sawyer, Isla, Jackson, Lincoln, Sophie, Max, Olivia, Charlotte, John, Marley, Luke, Addy and Aria.
Yvonne worked as a Registered Nurse for 45 years; many of these years was spent at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital where she worked as a Supervisor and in the Dialysis Unit. The family would like to thank- Oncologist Dr. Sara Rask, Oncologist/Radiologist Dr. Matthew Follwell, Surgeon Dr. Monica Chaudhuri as well as the nurses from Bayshore Nursing for all their care and support during Yvonne’s illness.
A Celebration of Yvonne’s life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street E. Orillia on Saturday January 12th, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. Words of tribute will be at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital or the Orillia OSPCA would be appreciated.
