Yvonne Benoit
The death of Yvonne Benoit of Dalhousie occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home, Inc., on Monday, May 7th, 2018 at the age of 99. Born in Caraquet, she was the daughter of the late William and Virginie (Doiron) Lanteigne.
Yvonne is survived by her children Antoinette McKuster of Melrose, Massachusetts, Donat Benoit (Jeanne Mentis) of Dalhousie, Theresa Jennings (Everett Lavigne) of Dalhousie, Diane Benoit of Dalhousie, her brother Marc Lanteigne of Caraquet, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband Valere Benoit, sons Claude and Gilles, sisters Emilienne, Therese and Gertrude, as well as her brothers Emile and Omer.
The family wish to thank the staff of the Dalhousie Nursing Home for the excellent care provided to our mother. For those wishing, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in the memory of Yvonne will be appreciated by the family.
Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, May 18th, 2018 at the St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie at 11 AM. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
