Winifred Gladys Sokoloski (Winnie)

Mum was born October 14, 1926, in Kaslo, BC. She attended Normal School in Victoria where she earned her teaching degree. Her career began in Procter BC where she met and married Mike Sokoloski. They made their home in Procter where they raised their large family of 10 children.
Mum grew an amazing big vegetable garden in Procter and she canned and preserved endlessly. Mum was very talented, she hand knit beautiful sweaters, toques and scarves she enjoyed cross-stitch, embroidery, reading and letter writing. She enjoyed badminton bowling, swimming crossword puzzles, crib, scrabble and other board games.
Mum travelled across Canada, to England twice, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Disneyland, San Francisco and cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean and more!
Mum would do anything for her kids and grandkids and was always involved in all of our lives. She had an incredible sense of humour and taught us about hard work, good work ethic and respect. She was a very kind, supportive, patient, generous and forgiving person as well as a determined and strong willed woman. We will miss and Love her forever.
