OBITUARY
Wilma Jean Halldorson
13 February , 1942 – 22 April , 2018
Wilma Jean Halldorson (nee Fair) passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the age of 76, leaving behind a whole lot of roosters, crystal, bakeware, and shoes her family doesn’t know what to do with.
She will be lovingly remembered by her partner of 12 years, Dr. Calvin Edwardh; her daughters: Stefanie and Lori-Ann Halldorson (husband Colin Wilson); four grandchildren: Lindsay, Nathan, and Colin Gervais and Luke Wilson; and special friends: Owen Gervais and Naree Ager, and Brad, Carmelle, and John Edwardh. The first of her siblings to pass, she predeceases brothers Vernon and John Fair (wife Claudia) and two sisters Luella Crooker (husband George) and Vera-May Fair with whom she was extremely close and who will feel her absence tremendously. Wilma was blessed with wonderful nieces and nephews, many of whom affectionately referred to her as their ‘crazy Auntie’: Shane and Kelly Fair; Cheryl Baker, Ronald Crooker, and Beverley Paulhus; Selena Jones; and Stefan and Marnie Bymak.
An infectious laugh is how Wilma was described most. Always up for an adventure, she was determined and strong-willed who never lost her sense of humour, even in her last hours. She had an avid love for her flowers, dancing, golf, theatre, skiing and hiking back in the day, spray painting, tormenting her sons-in-law and bridge partners, and most importantly SHOPPING!
Cal and Lori would like to give thanks to those friends and family who gave so much of their time and love to make Wilma comfortable in her last days. You know who you are and will be forever treasured.
This isn’t what we had in mind when we recently discussed having a family reunion, but a Celebration of Life will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. – a gathering for all will follow.
