Lovingly Remembered
In the early morning hours of Wednesday June 6, 2018, William (Bill) Henry Thompson peacefully passed away at the Whitehorn Retirement Village at the age of 96 years. Bill was born May 9, 1922 in Walbottle, Northumberland UK and was one of six siblings. In 1927 he immigrated to Canada with his parents and in his younger years resided with his family in Central Butte, SK. In 1947 he married the love of his life, Kay Thompson, who predeceased him in 2011. They were married for 63 years and are now together again forever.
Bill loved the work he did with Shell Canada and had a 42 year career with them until he retired in 1984. Bill was an avid card player and will be missed by “the girls” at Whitehorn Village and his crib buddies at Parkridge Estates.
Bill will lovingly be remembered by his daughters Judi and Joy; and son Tim. Bill is also survived by his four grandchildren: Judith, Lori, Russ and Jessica and six great-grandchildren.
The cremation was held on June 9, 2018 and a private family internment will be held at a later date.
