William « Bill » A’Court
William
« Bill » A’Court, 75, of Moncton, with his
loving wife, Dona, by his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton
Hospital on Monday, October 29,
2018.
Born in
Bristol, England, he was the son of the late Dennis and Margaret
(Clarke) A’Court.
Bill worked
for Lever Brothers for over 25 years and then went on to be a
successful Manufacturer’s Agent. He was a member of
Lewisville Baptist Church. Bill came from a family of very talented
musicians and was in the western gospel band « Just Us
Revived », with Frank Springer and Dan Sisk. He loved playing
his guitar, especially in senior’s homes and was an avid
Johnny Cash fan. Bill was a long time and very faithful Montreal
Canadiens fan.
Bill will be
sadly missed by his wife of over 27 years, Dona (Wilson)
A’Court; daughter, Kathleen A’Court of
Fredericton; stepsons, Darren Sweet (Lise) of Halifax, NS and Troy
Sweet (Michelle) of Moncton; step grandchildren, Patrick Sweet, Denis
Sweet, Zachary Sweet and Amy Sweet; step great granddaughter,
Charlotte Sweet; sister, Anne Woodyer (Peter) of Centreville, NS;
brother, Rod A’Court of Truro, NS; his dog,
« Blue »; several nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In addition
to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother, Robert
A’Court (Letha).
A Service to
celebrate and honour Bill’s life will be held at Lewisville
Baptist Church, 109 Pleasant St., on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at
2:00 pm with Pastor Gordon MacLeod and Rev. Carolyn King leading the
service. Reception following the
service.
Arrangements
under the professional care of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain
Road, Moncton (858-1995).
