Obituary of Wanda Michnik
Wanda Marie Michnik passed away peacefully, on June 8, 2018 at the age of 84. She was the third daughter of Joseph and Marjanna Lipka of Fosston Sask. She attended nursing school in Tisdale and it was while working in Edam she met her husband Frank. They married January 2, 1955 and farmed near Glaslyn for over 40 years.
Left to mourn are her daughters: Sherry (Stephen)Harthill, Frances(Karl)Holowach, Brenda (Mike)Yanota and Jacqueline (Jeff)Longworth; her ten grandchildren; her six great grandchildren; her sister, Helen Kays; and her brothers, Stan, and Joe.
Wanda was predeceased by: her husband, Frank; her sister, Sophie Janeczko; and herbrother Ted.
Mom touched the hearts of many and will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her. A special thank you to Dr Akerman and the staff at Lloydminster Continuing Care. Your kind and gentle ways were a comfort during Mom’s last days.
The Prayer Service will be conducted from McCaw’s Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 6:00 PM.
The Memorial Mass will be held at the Holy Cross Parish, Glaslyn, Saskatchewan Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
Donations in memory of Wanda may be made to the Alzheimer’s Soceity or Lloydminster Continuing Care Activity Fund.
