Vital Richard
1930-2018
POINTE-SAPIN, NB –
Vital Richard, 88, of Pointe-Sapin passed away peacefully at the
Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday, December
20th, 2018. Born in Pointe-Sapin,
he was the son of the late Charles and Lea (Daigle) Richard. Before
retiring, Vital worked as a fisherman, school bus driver and
carpenter. He was a member of the Pointe-Sapin Golden Age
Club.
Vital will be sadly missed by his wife, Noella; his
two sons, Marc (Janice Schofield-Richard) and André
(Sophie), both of Dieppe; his three grand children, Simon, Eve and
Luc; his four sisters, Antoinette Richard of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent,
Elodiane Leger (Armand) of Cocagne, Zella Martin (Richard) of
Baie-Sainte-Anne and Gabriella Leger of Dieppe; his brother, Alfred of
Pointe-Sapin; as well as by his many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Vital is predeceased by his
infant son, Joseph; his sister, Florine; and his two brothers, Leonard
and Cyrille.
Visitation will be held at the Pointe-Sapin Community
Centre, on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 and Monday from 9:00am until
departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on
Monday, December 24th, 2018 at 11:00am, Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic
Church, Pointe-Sapin. If so desired, donations in memory of Vital may
be made to the Saint-Joseph parish or to the Canadian Cancer
Society.
