Vincent Valentine
Vincent Valentine, formerly of King
Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday March 3, 2018, at the Foyer
Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst, at the age of
89.
Born in St-Justin, QC, he was the son
of the late Gabriel and Ruth Elizabeth (Barnes)
Valentine.
Vincent was a graduated of McGill
University in Mechanical Engineering and from Nova Scotia Tech in
Civil Engineering and was a Design Associate in Edmonston.
He came to Bathurst in 1959 and worked for the former Connolly
Construction & took over the business with his partner Jim
Gavin until his retirement. He designed the Holy Family
Church and Keystone Place to name a
few.
He is survived by three children:
Gloria Tocher (Mark) of Virginia Beach, USA, Peter Valentine (Trudy)
of Halifax and March Valentine of North Bay, ON. Three
grandchildren.
Two brothers: Leo Valentine
of Chilliwack, BC and Rolland « Rolly » Valentine (Mary) of
Abbotsford, BC. Several nieces and
nephews.
There will be no visitation at the
funeral home. Funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday,
March 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. from Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel,
