VEDA VIDA MARGARET SPRING nee SORRILL Date of Death:October 15 2018

Passed away at the age of 80 on October 15, 2018. Veda is survived by her husband Hans, daughters Susan Hagerman (Michael) of BC, Megan Singeris (Phil) of London, son John of London as well as sister Diana Helkaa (Glen) of Guelph, brother David (Marilyn) of Nova Scotia, granddaughter Stephanie and grandsons William and Max and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Phil and Jack.
Veda was born in Wales and her family immigrated to Canada after the war. After completing Highschool, she entered the Nursing Program at Brantford General Hospital graduating as a Registered Nurse and pursued studies at Western University, earning a Public Health Diploma. She served as a Public Health Nurse in the London Public Schools and in the community for many years. Veda enjoyed gardening, photography and fiber arts. She served as a palliative care volunteer for several years.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will meet at a later date to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the William Singeris National Centre for Myotonic Dystrophy c/o Children’s Health Foundation (345 Westminster Ave, London ON N6C 4V3) or a charity of your choice.
