Vanda L. Soon

SOON, Vanda
Vanda Soon passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Surrey, BC.
Vanda was the surviving wife of her husband Charles. They had shared 55 years of marriage, partnership and togetherness. Vanda was a proud and devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Randy (Rose), Joni (Leonard) and Bonnie (Ed) and five grandchildren and their families: Carly, Graydon, Christine, Edward and Bradley.
Vanda is also survived by two brothers, Jack (Lil) & Hong (Lan San) and her many relatives of The Soon Clan and Lee family relatives. Vanda was blessed with the wonderful care of her community friendships at Laurel Place. Vanda was outstanding in everything she did. She will be forever remembered for her superior culinary skills & her incredible abilities as a baker. Her passions included knitting, crocheting, tailoring, floral design, dancing, music and sports. A beautiful smile and a kind and helpful nature were her winning attributes. Vanda’s lively spirit and that ‘twinkle in her eye’ will be deeply cherished & greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Vanda’s life will be held at 9 am, on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial, Burnaby.
Memorial donations in memory of Vanda Soon can be made to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. and the Vancouver Foundation Soon Family Fund.
