Trevor Pare
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Joseph Paré on June 14, 2018 at the young age of 27 years old. Trevor fought a hard battle with Pompe disease his entire life. He will be sadly missed by his mother Linda, father Andrew, sisters Akaysha and Athena as well as his faithful caregiver Tyler Reilly. Trevor has been blessed to have Sherry Doubler and Cathy Foreman as assistants in school and ‘moms’ for many years. Trevor loved sports, especially hockey. Those who met Trevor for even a few minutes could sense his love for the Edmonton Oilers as well as the Red Deer Rebels. Trevor loved life, regardless of his physical and medical situation. He soaked in every experience with a zest like no other. Trevor was instantly loved by all who met him. Trevor was a founding member of the Canadian Association of Pompe; a staunch advocate for research and access to medication for everyone with rare diseases. A celebration of life will be held on June 23, 2018 at 11:00am at the Royal Canadian Legion, 5108-49 Ave. Innisfail, Alberta. To honour Trevor’s love of sports, please wear a jersey from the team of your choice (with the exception of Calgary). In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Association of Pompe, 112-3201 Wilson Street, Penticton, BC V2A 8J3.
