Obituary of Thomas Putman
It is with great sadness that the family announces his sudden passing at the Hamilton General Hospital on December 7, 2018 in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Teresa (Gelsumini) and loving son of Edith (late Vernon). Caring father of Chris (Kim) and Stacey (Justin). Survived by his brother Jim, his sister Patty Hartwick (Terry), sister in law Rosanne, brother in law Aldo as well as several nieces and nephews; Marie (Tony), Melanie (Brian), Erin (Amos), Corey (Cassie), Taylar, and Lacey (Adam)
As a young mechanic, Tom worked for the Niagara Regional Roads Dept. and retired at the age of 55. Whether it was coaching Wainfleet minor hockey for 30+ years, volunteering his time at the Marshville heritage village, displaying tractors and engines at an antique power show, weekly bowling in a five-pin league or simply just relaxing with “Maggie”, his legacy will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Wednesday, December 12 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Winger Church of Christ (Disciples), 43238 Hwy # 3 Wainfleet, on Thursday December 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Winger Church of Christ Disciples.
