Obituary Overview
Our Hearts Remember
On Thursday, September 27, 2018, Tom Moore of Edmonton started the next part of his journey with family by his side. Tom will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Regine; his daughter, Karen Moore; step-daughter and son-in-law, Kyla and Curt Dahlgren; brother, Jim (Gloria) Moore; sister, Jo-Ann (Alan) McMahon; extended family, friends and his furry buddy, Teddy. His memory will always be in our hearts. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph Moore during WWII; his mother, Gudfinna, and his step-father Roy Shantz.
Tom was proud to have worked at the University of Alberta’s Physical Plant as an administrator for 30 years; he retired in 2000. Tom was treasured for his kind and compassionate spirit, his quick wit and amazing sense of humour; he always had a joke ready to share. In his memory, buy someone a drink, tell a joke and share in the laughter.
The family is grateful for the compassion, care and respect provided by the dedicated staff of the Mel Miller Palliative Care Unit at the General Hospital, the Emergency Department and Wards 52 and 54 of the Grey Nuns Hospital. A special thank you to Dr Chana and Dr Follett. The family would like to express appreciation for the medical care provided by Alberta Health Services.
Cremation has taken place and while we mourn our loss, we celebrate that he shared his life with us. The family will have a private remembrance at a later date.
