It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Brian Butts announce his passing at Bobby’s Hospice on December 11, 2018 with his loving family by his side.
Tom is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rosemary (LaFrance), son Jason (Julie) and grandson Zachary, brothers; Richard (Phyllis) and Max (Fernan), niece Yvonne (Jeremy), nephews; Brian (Lisa) and Ian (Mellissa). He is predeceased by his parents Max Butts Sr., and Marjorie (Marino) and several aunts and uncles.
Tom worked all of his life in Grocery Retail. He worked for Dominion Stores for many years then the Atlantic Superstore until his passing. His favorite pastime was shooting pool. He had a great love for the game, playing in many tournaments and belonging to several leagues in his lifetime. He also loved playing cards on the weekends with his family.
Thank you to Bobby’s Hospice for the care they provided during this difficult time. To the doctors, nurses and volunteers, your kindness and care were greatly appreciated.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 11am to 12 noon. A Celebration of Tom’s Life will immediately follow in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Tom’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
