Susan « Sue » ‘s Obituary
FITZGERALD, Susan Elaine “Sue” – Age 70, of Wilmot, Annapolis Co., N.S., passed away peacefully on September 21, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Gimli, Manitoba, she was a daughter of Rose and the late Walter Shewchuk. Susan was an avid volunteer for the Nictaux Food Bank, Soldier’s Memorial Hospital Gift Shop, Middleton Firettes and Elderdog. She was an excellent mother, cook, hostess and loved her dogs almost as much as family. She is survived by her son, Jason (Elizabeth) of Kentville, N.S.; daughter, Karen (Brian) of Fort McMurray, AB; mother, Rose; and sisters, Sally (Van – deceased) and Judy (Andy) all of Gimli, MB; grandchildren, Kyle, Alyssa and Kaitie and her faithful four legged companion, Baylee. She was predeceased by her husband, John Charles (Chuck) and her faithful companions, K.C, Jessie, Ginger, Riley, Chico and Jethro. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Nictaux & District Volunteer Fire Hall, 9349 Hwy 10, Nictaux, on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donation boxes will be available to Susan’s favorite charities, or make a donation to the charity of your choice.
