Stewart Roy
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Stewart, Joseph, Clarence Roy in his 90th year at the Campbellton Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 19, 2018.
Stewart is survived by his daughter Judy Henry (Brian); sons Mark (Sandy) and John (Carrie); grandchildren Tara, Ashley & Candace; great-grandchildren Maya, Claire, Madden, Keaton and Parker as well as his sisters Helen, Sophia, and Lauza and brothers Sheldon, Danny and Floyd. He was predeceased by his wife Una (Calvert); parents Wilfred and Laura; stepmother Beatrice; brothers Alfred, Thomas & Stewart and sisters Jenny, Adeline,Lilly, Margaret, Hazel and Agatha.
Stewart was employed by NB International Paper Mill where he worked for 43 years as a paper maker.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point. Cremation has taken places per Stewarts wishes and a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church 470 Victoria St. Dalhousie NB. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11am. Interment will be in the St. John Bosco Parish Cemetery in Dalhousie.
As per Stewarts wishes, there will be no visitation. A reception however will follow for family and friends at the church hall.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the medical personnel at the Palliative Care Unit at the Campbellton Regional Hospital for their care and compassion shown towards Stewart throughout his stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Stewart can be made to the Restigouche SPCA or the Haven of Hope in Dalhousie.
