ENGLAND Stephen Thomas 56, Port Hastings, It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Stephen Thomas England on October 29, 2018.
Born in Guysborough he was the son of Marie (Ryan) and the late Thomas England.
Stephen grew up in Middle Melford, Guysborough County and upon completion of high school, attended Canso Regional Vocational School where he graduated from the plumbing program. He then went on to work at Stora Forest Industries until illness forced his retirement in 1998. He will be remembered for having a heart of gold and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Stephen was a great trivia partner with his wide range of knowledge and was always up to date with the news (especially about President Donald Trump).
He will be forever missed by the loves of his life, daughter Shannon Elizabeth Cheryl and son Ryan Thomas; step daughters, Laura and Angela; granddaughter Isla; his mother Marie (Ryan) England; sisters Heather (Jackie), Antigonish, Sherma, Port Hawkesbury and brother Floyd (Maxine), Mulgrave; nieces Michelle, Amanda, April and Emma; nephews Darryl, Tommy, Aaron and Nicholas.
He was predeceased by his father Thomas and brother Wayne.
Resting in the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Funeral will be held Saturday at 1pm from St. James Anglican Church, Middle Melford; burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to St James Anglican Church, General Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
