HEARN, Stella Marie – A gentle loving, compassionate heart stopped beating today…
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, February 25, 2016, Stella Marie Hearn of Colliers – Age 88 years.
Predeceased by her husband Thomas (2010); brothers: Louis, Steve, and Ted; sisters: Sadie and Mabel; and parents Owen and Suzanna Reid.
Leaving to mourn eight children: Jim Hearn (British Columbia), Tom Hearn (Cheryl), Donna Lawlor (Jerome), Veronica Hearn (Ontario), Maurice Hearn (Isabelle), Theresa Hallern (David), Ted Hearn (Kim), and Regina Bartlett (Richard); 22 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; brother Andrew Higdon (Jenny); sisters-in-law Dot Reid, Julie Higdon, Madeline Ghaney, and Joan Ghaney; numerous nieces and nephews; and staff and friends at Woodford’s Comfort Manor, Holyrood.
Resting at Flaherty’s Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Saturday, February 27th from 12pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm; Sunday, February 28th from 12pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm; and Monday, February 29th from 9am-10am.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Colliers on Monday, February 29th, 2016, at 11:00am. Interment to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Colliers.
