On January 24, 2018, Mr. Herman Steinhauer of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 83 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Rita; 4 daughters & 5 sons, Charline, Joyce (Kurtis), James (Cathy), Vernon (Violet), Robbie, Valerie (Earl), Calvin (Leslie), Andrea (David) & Marshall (Tania); 111 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Andy & Darrell; 3 sisters, Victoria, Bernice & Loreen; special brother, Herbert Shirt; the Shirt family; numerous nieces & nephews; his dog, Odie. He was predeceased by his parents, Harrison & Marie; daughter, Koren; 2 sons, Gilbert & Robert; grandson, Ryan; 2 sisters, Mary Shirt & Millie Jones; brother, Bruce Whalen. A Wake will be held on Saturday (leaving Grace Gardens at 4:30 p.m.) & Sunday, January 27 & 28 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
