OBITUARY
Simpson McLeod
November 26, 1936 – November 28, 2018
Simpson passed away November 28, 2018 at the Halifax Infirmary with Sue by his side.
He was born in East Lothian outside of Edinburgh, Scotland on November 26, 1936.
He is survived by his wife Sue, daughters Kate, Esther, Sarah and Alice and his brother Graham who all reside in Scotland, his step children Chris (Kate) Palmer, Halifax and Alison (Matt) Dunn, Mill Valley, California, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Simpson attended The Macintosh School of Architecture and Strathclyde University both in Glasgow where he studied planning and architecture. He worked for the city of Halifax in Planning and Development before retiring in 2004.
Simpson was a passionate storyteller and movie enthusiast. A lifelong learner, he was rarely seen without a book in hand. He loved hiking and working on house projects.
We will gather at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Drive, Halifax on Saturday December 8th from 1:00-3:00 to remember Simpson, with remarks at 2:00pm. No flowers by request. Donations in his name may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of N.S.
