It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Marie Kopiak at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre on the evening of September 22, 2018 at the age of 76 years.
Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her spouse of many years, Leon Blanchette; children Kim Kopiak (Mark) Qualie, Jacqueline Poier and Kelly Kopiak; grandchildren Chad (Jennifer) Kopiak, Courtney Skates, Kristen (James) Redford, Sara Siewiertoka, Desarae Poier and Samantha Poier; great-grandchildren Cole Kopiak, Chloe Skates, Teagan Redford, Lucas Redford, Eden Nichols, Kennedy Nichols and Jade Neufeld; her sister Linda Forsyth; and Leon’s children Bonita (Justin) Rogers and Lance Blanchette (Christian Jauand). Shirley was predeceased by her parents Lucille and Thomas Feist; sister Diane McClaren; and her brother Garnett Kovach.
A Celebration of Shirley’s Life was held in Buck Creek at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018.
