Shirley Dixon (Dunbar)
Passed away peacefully at the Trillium Centre in Kingston on Monday, August 6, 2018. Shirley Anne Dixon, at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Robert Dixon and loving mother of Raymond Dixon (Kathy), Wayne Dixon (Rhona), Cindy Freeman (Kevin), Randy Dixon (Brenda) and Kim O’Coin (Ben). Loving grandmother of Andrew Dixon, Kyle Dixon (Mirela), Heather Dixon (Josh), Matthew Dixon (Jessie), Brian Dixon (Kristie) and David Freeman. Great grandmother of Daphne, Dex, Sofia, Eva, Lincoln, Adrian and Ali. Dear sister of Gwen Johnson (Ralph) and Theresa Freeburn. Will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Ralph, daughter Brenda Dixon and daughter Wendy in infancy as well as by her grandchildren Daniel, Margaret and Emma Freeman.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 Cty. Rd. 15, Maitland on Tuesday, August 14th from 11 am – 1 pm. A ceremony celebrating Shirley’s life will follow in the chapel at 1 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
