Sharon passed away August 18, 2018 in Kelowna. Born April 18, 1939, in Edmonton, Alberta, she grew up in Lethbridge before heading west to B.C. Sharon was very musical and played numerous instruments, her favourite being the clarinet which she played in the school marching band, and the pipe organ which she played as a teen at church. Being very artistic, she had many hobbies from painting and sculpting to wood carving and floral arranging. She worked many years as a florist and later moved into home care.
Sharon is lovingly remembered by her son, Doug, daughter, Lesley (Wolfgang), grandchildren, Andrea, Zac (Jamie) and Kelly, as well as step grandchildren, Alex (Tim), Lisi, Christi (Harry), Sophi and step great grandchildren, Oliver and Josiah, as well as many other family and friends. She is predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Maureen. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, and if so desired, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society in her memory.
