Mrs. Mabel Ruby Watters was born in Grand Falls, Newfoundland on April 17, 1923. She was the daughter of the late James and Laura (Oldford) Critchley and the wife of the late Ira « Gordon » Watters who passed away in 1985.
Ruby will live on in the hearts of her sons: Jim Watters and his wife Pat of Sussex and Rick Reynolds and his wife Irma of London, Ontario; her daughters: Carolann Taylor and her husband Gerald of Rothesay, Rosalee Dunfield of Apohaqui and Feli Wallace and her husband Robert of Lower Millstream; her brothers: Phillip Critchley of NFLD and Eli Critchley of Salisbury; 21 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Mabel Ruby Watters of Apohaqui passed away at the Sussex Health Center on January 16, 2018 at the age of 94.
She is predeceased by her daughters: Linda Watters, Helen Watters, Katie Watters and Neta (Wheaton) Robinson; her brothers: Cecil, James, Jack, Bill and Ed and by her sisters: Eliza, Lillian, Annie and Mildred.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 1-5pm. A Celebration of Ruby’s life will be held on Monday at 11:00am.
