OBITUARY
Ronald Leslie Wade
10 September , 1949 – 19 May , 2018
Ronald “Ron” Leslie Wade – Age 68 of Digby passed away May 19, 2018 in Digby General Hospital.
Born in Doncaster, England he was a son of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Barnfield) Wade. Ron was a third generation Heritage Stone Mason/bricklayer. He enjoyed working on all the old buildings in and around Toronto. He loved woodworking and is remembered fondly for his quirky sense of humor and stories. He had many health issues over the last few years and wasn’t able to enjoy Nova Scotia as much as he wanted to but he loved living by the ocean and enjoyed his seafood. Ron and was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren; taking them fishing and sharing his wealth of knowledge with them.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Potter) Wade; daughters, Sharon (Michael) Fraser, Caroline (Karl) Reich; Allison Wade (Trevor); grandchildren, Matthew Fraser, Alex Fraser, Connor Fraser, Ryan Reich, Brace Reich, Abby Reich; great grandson, Thomas Fraser; nieces and nephews, Susan Fanthorpe, Elaine Fanthorpe, Corinthia Graham, Kelly White, Daniel Potter, Brian Wade, Tony Wade and Pauline Wade.
Besides his parents he was pre-deceased by sister, Doreen Fanthorpe; brothers, Eric Wade, John Wade and niece, Tracy Bough.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. A memorial service will be 2pm on Sunday June 17th, 2018 at Grace United Church, Digby with Rev. Alex Constable presiding. Leave condolences at www.jaynesfuneralhome.com
