Roderick was born March 19th, 1925 in Nelson BC. He passed away at Nanaimo Hospital May 10, 2018.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years; Marjorie Janet, his daughter; Janet Dora, his sons; James Ian, and Alan Hugh. He is survived by his son; Bruce Roderick.
Roberick Milroy served as a pilot for Royal Canadian Air Force with the North Atlantic Squadron during the Battle of the Atlantic. After his service, he graduated from UBC with a BASC in Chemical Engineering. He then worked briefly at Harmac and then re-entered the Royal Canadian Air Force where he specialized in aircraft maintenance and became an Aeronautical Engineer. Roderick retired from the Air Force with the rank of Major in 1974 and moved with his wife to Saltair and began his and his wife’s retirement.
After retirement, both Roderick and Marjorie were very active in the communiy. Marjorie was president of the Chemainus Senior Center, Roderick was president of the Ladysmith Seniors Centre.
He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and also represented Saltair on the Cowichan Valley Regional District.

There will be a graveside service Thursday, May 17th at 11:00am at Ladysmith Cemetery.
Beloved father, he will be missed by family and friends.
