In Loving Memory of Robert (Bob) Lee
December 3, 1933 – February 11, 2018
Bob Lee passed away peacefully on Sunday February 11, 2018 at the Rosefield Care Center with his wife of 55 years, Elsie, by his side.
He was born on December 3, 1933 in Elnora, AB to William and May Lee. At the age of 13, after the passing of his dad, he moved in with his sister Elsie Painter on their farm in Huxley. He was known as Big Bob to his nieces and nephews. He attended school in Huxley and graduated from high school in Trochu, AB. Bob was very active in sports, mainly curling, hockey and baseball. In the spring of 1962 Bob accepted a partsman position at Innisfail Coop Implements (CCIL) until his retirement in 1989. During retirement he worked part-time carpet cleaning and at the Innisfail Golf Course.
In June 1962 he married Elsie Weisenburger. His treasures were his children: Karen (Larry) Seifried and Doug (Bonnie) Lee; and five grandchildren Candis (Devin) Riches, Ryan Seifried (Leah Strand), Braden Seifried, Kristen Lee, Brooklyn Lee and one great-granddaughter Cali Riches.
Bob was predeceased by his parents William and May Lee, and was the last survivor of his eight siblings: Elsie (Allan), Verda (Tony), infant Gordon, Basil, Percy, Mary (Phil), Betty (Ken), and Kenny (survived by Sandra).
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #104, Innisfail, AB on February 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Rosefield Care Centre, 5023 – 42 Street, Innisfail, AB, T4G 1A9
