Rene Roy

Rene Felix Roy, resident of the Fairview (AB) area passed away in Grande Prairie (AB), at 59 years of age. Rene was born in L’Avenir (QC) on June 9, 1958 to Marcelle (nee Fontaine) and Rosario Roy. He was raised, married a local girl, started his own family and formerly resided in Edson (AB).
Rene’s love was of farming and-recently-log cabin building.
Rene is survived by his wife of nearly 35 years Sally; children Ranelle (Josh Bonogofski) and Shayne (Lisa Fox); his brothers Pierre of Edson, AB, Irma (Michael) Bradley of Sherwood Park, AB, Luc Roy of Peers, AB, Marc (Ann) of Shining Bank, AB, Clement (Kimberly) of Edson, AB, Matthew of Toad River, BC, Joe (Delores) of Saskatoon, SK; sister Helene Mochniuk of Wildwood, AB; cousins and friends.
He was pre-deceased by his parents; sister Johanne Carreiro; brother Daniel Roy, and, brother-in-law Peter Mochniak.
