April 3, 1928 Francavilla al Mare, Italy – August 20, 2018 Kelowna, BC
With sadness in our hearts the family of Renato “Ray” De Marco announce his passing. Ray immigrated from Italy to Revelstoke, BC in 1954 and later settled in Calgary for 40 years where he worked in construction while raising a family. In 1997 Ray retired to Kelowna where gardening became his passion. He was known for his legendary tomato plants that he shared with many.
Ray is survived… Read More » by his wife of 61 years Giuseppina, his children Anna, Mario (Val) and Linda; grandchildren Eric, Amelia, Liam, Jamie, Marisa, and Kaleigh; sister Maria (Ercole) and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his mother Liberata Piattelli; father Luigi De Marco; siblings Guido, Nicola, Rocco and Ida.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks Dr. Pavan, Dr. Kim and the KGH staff on 6W for their exceptional care and compassion.
A Celebration of Ray’s Life will be held on Friday August 24 at 2:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church located at 1162 Hudson Road, West Kelowna, BC.
