Surrounded by his loving family at home, it is with
great sadness that the family of Redmond Gosse announces his passing
on December 8th, at the age of 79
years. Born in Whitney Pier, July 11, 1939, he was the son
of the late John and Mary Ann (Sinyard) Gosse.
Redmond will forever be remembered for his devotion to his
family, his love of fishing, bowling, and a good game of
Tarbish. As an avid sports fan, Redmond cheered on his
beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. Redmond spent most of his
adult life working as a skilled butcher for well known grocers in
Sydney.
Redmond is survived by the love of his life, Paulette
(Chiasson) 56 years married. Only daughter, Darlene, East Bay; sons,
Paul (Cindi), Calgary, John, Edmonton and James (Gena), Sydney;
grandchildren, Mitchell, Alisa, Everett, Connor, Ceilidh; sisters,
Georgina Moore and Barbara Burleigh, Ontario; brother, Hayward,
Ontario; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Redmond was predeceased by his sisters,
Frances, Ann, Irene, Susan, Shirley, Louise, and Doris; brothers,
Cecil, Bill, Stewart, Gordon and Jack.
At Redmond’s request, there will be no visitation
or service. Interment will take place in Resurrection
Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may
be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of
one’s choice.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Redmond Gosse 19392018..
