He was a member of Botsford Chapter #7, a Past Grand First Principal of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of New Brunswick. He was also Past President of Moncton Shriner Club and member of Luxor Shriners Temple, Saint John.

He was a great lover of gospel and western music and loved playing his guitar. Ralph was the longest and last surviving member of his immediate and extended family. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie (Sherwood) Prosser; four brothers, Wendell, Lloyd, Leon and Donald; his six sisters, Jessie Steeves, Leta James, Thelma Steeves and Jean Steeves, Marguerite Smith and Doris Crawford; as well as his best friend and companion Missy.
