Raymond Neil Voisey
August 30, 1948 – December 19, 2018
It is with profound sadness that the family of Raymond Neil Voisey announces his passing on December 19, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 70 years old.
Ray will be lovingly remembered and missed by his children, Paul Voisey (Michelle), Tacia Voisey (Andrew) and his five grandchildren, Trevor, Jaime Leah, Everett and Thea, all of whom he was incredibly proud. Ray will also be forever remembered by his steadfast companion Carol Green and his community of friends. Ray is also survived by his two brothers, Leon and Morris.
Ray was a long-time Surrey resident and a retired air traffic controller. He was often seen running or cycling throughout the community as he prepared for a marathon or journey overseas on his bike.
Ray always looked for ways to help others and one of his favourite sayings was “if you can make someone smile, your day has been worthwhile”. It is in this spirit that his family and friends intend to carry on his legacy.
The family wishes to extend our gratitude to the nurses at Moog & Friends Hospice House in Penticton who provided kind and loving care.
Memorial donations in memory of Ray may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation BC #4 – 17918 55th Avenue Surrey, BC V3S 6C8.
