Obituary for Peter Didora
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Peter Didora, age 92, on Friday, March 2, 2018, with family at his side. Cherishing his memory are his wife Nellie of 67 years of marriage, son Ron (Eileen), daughter Sally (Walter), daughter Darlene (Hector), son Rick (Kathy), daughter Sharon (Ken), eleven grandchildren and their spouses, 21 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Anne Didora, and special family friend Lilliane.
Peter was predeceased by his parents Sam and Lena and older brothers Bill and John.
Dad was born at Senkiw, Manitoba. He helped his parents on the farm near LaSalle, Manitoba while his brothers served in the forces. Dad started his 35-year career at Canada Cement Lafarge in 1949. There were many great memories made at Tall Timber Lodge and Sandpiper Estates. After retirement Mom and Dad enjoyed many years of travelling together and they created a community of friends during their 10 wonderful years living at Paradise Village. Dad’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially mealtime with his grandchildren.
We would like to thank St Boniface Hospital staff for their exceptional care.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter’s name to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.
