Obituary of Patricia Canty
Patricia “Tish” Ann Haywood, 83 of Kingston, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2018 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of the late Hilton and Helen (Carr) Haywood.
She is survived by her loving husband William “Bill” Canty; daughter Gloria (Bill) Carter-Whitmore, Port George; brothers Tommy (Darlene); Mel; Ray; Ross (Nora); all of Guysborough County; Carl (Sue), Meaghers Grant; Howard (Dolly), New Hamshire, USA; Ernie (Bonnie), Colorado, USA; sisters Dianne (Wayne) Decoste, Frankville; Lorrine (Bryce) Sanford, Dartmouth; Mary (Harold) Chisholm, Stony Creek, ON; Aunt Gertrude Carr; many nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly.
Besides her parents, Tish was predeceased by her brothers Sam and Cyril; and sister-in-law Bernice Haywood.
Cremation has taken place. Burial will take place Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Francis Church, St. Francis Harbour, Guysborough County. Memorial donations may be made to the VON or Palliative Care Unit, Valley Regional Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
