Peacefully in her 81st year on April 20th, 2018 at University Hospital, London, Ontario.
Pat’s knack for searching out just the right occasion cards and her unabashed pleasure upon delivery of them will be reminisced as one of her affectionate displays of family love. Pat’s allegiance to the Pittsburgh Steeler football team has created a legacy of Pittsburgh Steeler fans who will continue to wave the terrible towel in her loving memory.
With resolute independence, Pat began her career in Boston and ultimately set roots in Sewickley and Ambridge Pennsylvania. Her 34-year career progressed into her final role as the head of materials and purchasing manager at Sewickley Valley Hospital. Rightly she was respected for her dedication, loyalty and strong work ethic and loved by those who worked with her.
Patricia is predeceased by her mother and father, Jessie Marion and Frederick James McConnell, her beloved brother Jim McConnell (Doreen), nephew Wesley McConnell (Liz), nephew Robert, niece-in-law Tracey and great-nephew Lucas McConnell (Kelly). She is survived by nephews David McConnell (Fran), Bradley McConnell (Sheila) and Matthew McConnell (Margaret Tukara) and niece-in-law Ellen. Pat was a great Aunt to Adam (Rachel), Kyla (Josh), Brittany (Scott), Fraser (Lee), Pierce, Katelyn (Brian), Jessica (Stuart), Jennifer (Josh), Emily (Wil), Bryce (Kate), Sean and Lexy. She was a great-great Aunt to Brooklyn, Hunter, Sinara, Liv, Hayden, Griffin and Grace.
Pat’s love was extended to her dogs who were cherished companions throughout her living years.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 29th at 2:00 pm at Siloam United Church, 1240 Fanshawe Park Road. Those wishing to donate in memory of Pat may consider Siloam United Church, Westmount Presbyterian Church or a Pet Rescue organization of choice.
