Norman Haines
Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the John Noble Home on Wednesday October 3, 2018. Norman Haines, of Brantford, in his 86th year. Beloved Husband of Ruth (nee Nicholson) for nearly 66 years. Loving Dad of John, Brenda (John) Kerr, Karen, Peter (Cathie) and Tom (Tammy). Cherished Papa and Granddad to John (Samantha) Kerr, Carolyn (Tim) Teakle, Ruthanne (Derek) Bronsteyn, Tim and Chris Haines, Sara (Mike) Racinsky, Melissa (Shawn) Stuart, Kathryn (Travis) Dyk, Caleb and great-granchildren; Viola, Josephine, Geneva, Carson, Lilian, Brenna, Hope, Theo, and Emelyn. Predeceased by his brothers William, Donald, Clayton and Gordon. Norm will be sadly missed by his many family and friends.
Norm was very involved in the community working for Brantford Police Services, operating Norm Haines BP Service Station, and Haines Piano Service. He was an active member of Central Baptist Church and Pleasant Valley Church as well as an avid hunter and fisherman.
Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday October 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Norm’s memory may be made to Organized Kaos, Alpha Youth Canada or FEB Central Ministries Church Planting Fund.
