Obituary of Nellie Johnston
JOHNSTON, Nellie (nee Kaskawal) – Graduated to Glory on Sunday February 4, 2018 at the age of 102. Wife of the late George Thomas Johnston (1993). Predeceased by sister Margaret Swiscoski (1994) and brother Nick Kaskawal (2013). Survived by daughter Joyce Beattie (Jim) and son Bruce Johnston (Betty). Nellie is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Ruth, Paul, Sharon, Rebecca, and Angela; 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. A special thanks to the caring staff at Chateau Gardens in NOTL where Nellie resided for the last 15 years.
A private family burial service will be conducted prior to a Memorial Service to be held on Tuesday, February 6 at 12pm at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King Street. Reception to follow in the Tallman’s Fireside Room.
Memorial donations may be made to Galcom International (Nebo Road, Hamilton), or to a charity of your choice.
