Nellie Maksymec of Thorhild, AB passed away peacefully at Westlock Continuing Care Centre with family by her side. She will be remembered by sisters Jean Filipchuk, Kay Betchuk, Rose Iwaskiw, Nancy (Reuben) Schmidt, Tillie (Peter) Boyko, Vera Amalia; sisters in law Karen Amalia and Joan Amalia as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Andy, parents John and Anna; brothers Alec, Nick and George; sisters Anna and Mary; infant brother and sister Nick and Ruth.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 01, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home at 16204 Fort Road, NW (access off 153 avenue only), Edmonton, AB. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Thanks to Dr. Matthew DoRego and all the staff at Westlock Continuing Care Centre for their care and compassion given to Nellie during her stay.
Due to VERY severe allergies to Lilies, the family has requested NO LILIES in any flower arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in Memory of Nellie are appreciated.
